Do I have to buy a certain number of meals?

No, you can order whatever you like. Some week customers order enough to stock their refrigerator and freezer for the week Other weeks they just order a few items because they will be away or not eating at home. Remember Underground Kitchen makes taking lunch to work or school a snap!

Are the meals frozen?

All of our meals are made fresh everyday. Many of our options freeze beautifully and those will be marked on the label and on the website under product description.

Are all of the meals pre-cooked?

Many are, but some, like lasagnas are assembled and ready for you to bake fresh at home. These details and instructions will be on the label and on the website under product description.

Is all of the food organic?

While we have our own organic farm and purchase from other local organic farmers not all of our ingredients are organic. We do try to use organic whenever it is feasible and we strive to procure our ingredients from local conventional farmers and purveyors whenever possible. We do not add any preservatives to our food. It’s just real food.

Can I customize my meals?

We will make every attempt to address your requests. Please send them to us in writing with your order.

Do you offer vegan, vegetarian or gluten free options?

Yes! We have a large selection of all of these options. Just check the website and it will indicate these categories next to each item.

Where do I pick up my food?

You can pick your order up at one of our two locations:

Greens on Tenth – 953 Tenth Street, Modesto, CA 95354 from 9:00 – 5:00 Monday through Friday

Gather – 2424 McHenry Avenue, Modesto, CA 95354 from 10:00 – 5:00 Monday through Saturday
